Miso Tahini Nori Pate

After spending time with a Macrobiotic community of friends, we made this sauce. Very easy, nutritious, and simply yummy and goes with everything. Please take a bit of tahini, miso, and a quarter sheet of nori and mix it all with a touch of wasabi! A thick, nutty, tangy sauce that is great for spreads on biscuits or toast. Add a little more liquid for dips on the buffet table with a mild “o ahh zing” gusto.

Sesame seeds are a rich source of protein, and miso is very alkalizing for the body and is traditionally used in soups. Sesame seeds are rich in healthy fats and fiber, offering immense heart health and digestive benefits. In addition, their high plant protein content helps balance hormones in the body and support tissue development.

Miso is a thick soybean-based condiment that is very popular in Asian cuisine. Miso is a paste from soybeans fermented with a koji starter and salt to give it a great umami flavor. Miso is rich in essential nutrients such as B vitamins, selenium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron, and choline.
It also has probiotics acquired through the fermentation process, thus making it an amazing digestive health-boosting food.

Nori is a rich seaweed endowed with tyrosine and iodine that is very important for promoting thyroid health. It is also a great source of minerals and vitamins. Combine tahini, nori, and miso for a significant nutrient boost that fills and staves off hunger. I love to spread this Miso Tahini Nori patê on my galette for a quick snack when I’ve got a lot to do.
