Rich Gram flour Creamy pudding

You’ll adore this “Pudding Halwa” made of besan (chickpea flour). Regularly use this flour as a substitute for white flour in my sweets. Instead of ‘Besan Ladoo’ or ‘Mysore Pak,’ this gram flour creamy pudding is an easy auxiliary dessert.

Chickpea flour, often known as gram flour or besan, is readily available in Indian and Asian markets. The flour is created from crushed, dried chickpeas and can be packed and kept in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.

This sort of pudding is created using Wheatgrain flour and is slightly gelatinous. Besan Ka Halwa is a wonderful Asian delicacy that is quick and easy to make.  It’s so delicious that it’d be perfect for unexpected visitors. Or if you have a sweet tooth but don’t want to put in too much effort.

A cardamom-flavoured Asian pudding made with chickpea flour and coconut sugar. Gram flour creamy pudding is easy to make and deliciously sweet with a caramel flavor.

  • 2 cups gram flour
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 1/2 cups of rice syrup
  • 1 cup of dried prunes
  • 1 cup of coconut sugar
  • 2 pods of crushed cardamom
  • Mint leaves for garnish

In a medium pot, add the water, coconut sugar, crushed cardamom and gram flour and mix until the mixture forms a smooth liquid.

Place the pot over medium heat and cook the mixture, stirring continuously until the mixture begins to thicken.

Add rice syrup and continue to stir until it thickens to a thick custard or pudding-like consistency.

Pour the pudding into serving cups and pour a thin layer of rice syrup over it.

Garnish with mint leaves and prunes, then allow to cool before serving.

You can add chopped almonds to increase the flavor.
