Kukkutasana, also known as Rooster Posture is a yoga asana that is a variation of padmasana. It comes from the Samskrta words ‘Kukuta’, which means rooster/cockerel, and ‘Asana’ which means posture or pose. This asana is good for strengthening the arm muscles, addressing nerve issues in the arms and legs, and for calcium deficiency. Enhances digestion and tones the abdominal muscles, which support the internal organs. It is helpful in calming down the mind and reducing stress, as a result of regulating the adrenal gland. It is also said to help in healing the early stages of tuberculosis.
