There are plenty of juices in the market, but most of them are heavily marketed, sugar-filled liquids that offer little nutritional benefit. If you want to try a juice fast, always opt for fresh, homemade juices. You can try a watermelon fast, ulcer buster green juice fast, or wheatgrass juice.
One of my favorite juices during a juice fast is this Vegecstacy juice. It is rich in nutrients that keep you alert, energized, and ready to take on the day—a power-packed liquid bursting with chlorophyll and essential multivitamineralaminoacidizers, quite a mouthful for a juice.
This juice contains curly kale, which is rich in minerals and aids apoptosis; cucumber, which rehydrates cells more effectively than plain water; celery, full of essential minerals and salts; apple, containing unique malic acid that dilates the gall bladder and helps flush out toxins while cleansing the pancreas and liver; lemon, a powerful alkalizer; and pomegranate, which increases red blood cells and boosts immunity. When my friend first tried this juice, he said that it made him “vibrating with energy and dancing in ecstasy”.
Pomegranate (Punica granatum) is highly nutritious, rich in vitamins C and K, potassium, folate, fiber, and protein. It also offers punicalagins—potent antioxidants—and punicic acid, a fatty acid that enhances immunity.
Try this Vegecstacy juice fast for a day to cleanse and reboot your system. Ideally, enjoy this fast on a holiday or a relaxed day at home; it can even work well on a workday. Prepare a bottle of Vegecstacy juice the night before to drink at regular intervals throughout the next day.
Here’s how to divide 9 cups of this juice throughout your day:
First thing in the morning: Start with a cup of warm water mixed with the juice of a whole lemon and a pinch of salt.
Breakfast: 1 cup
Morning break: 1 cup
Lunch: 2 cups
Noon break: 1 cup
Before leaving the office: 2 cups
Dinner: 2 cups
Note: Remember to drink 6-8 cups of water between juices.
Vegecstacy
Experience the nutritional powerhouse of Vegecstacy Juice. Curly kale provides essential vitamins, phytochemicals, and minerals that aid in cellular rejuvenation, while cucumber revitalizes and hydrates with vital nutrients. Celery balances electrolytes with its rich mineral content, and apple offers malic acid to promote detoxification by dilating the gall bladder and cleansing the pancreas and liver. Lemon acts as a potent alkalizer, and pomegranate (Punica granatum) boosts immunity, increases red blood cells, and provides powerful antioxidants.
Ingredients
- 8 leaves of fresh kale or any variety available
- 2 cucumbers
- 6 celery sticks
- 6 apples
- 2 lemons
- 1 pomegranate with pith
- 1 thumb-size piece of fresh ginger
- 1 thumb-size piece of fresh turmeric
- 1 bunch of grapes
- 12 teaspoons coconut oil (1 for each cup)
Instructions
Select organic produce whenever possible.
If using non-organic produce, wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly by hand to revitalize them with positive energy.
Soak the produce in a bucket of water combined with bicarbonate soda and 2 cups of vinegar for 10-20 minutes.
Rinse the produce thoroughly before preparation.
Cut all fruits and vegetables into small chunks, ensuring that kale, cucumber, celery, apples, lemons, pomegranate, ginger, turmeric, and grapes are included.
Place all the cut ingredients into your masticator, liquefier, or blender and extract the juice.
Transfer the juice into a jar or decanter, add coconut oil (or optionally sesame, flaxseed, or olive oil to enhance nutrient absorption), and mix well.
Drink the juice at regular intervals throughout the day and enjoy the invigorating energy it provides.
