Carob Chickpea balls
Carob Chickpea Balls are your perfect delight as they are full of high-quality plant-based protein. They are perfect for parties and large gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Carob powder
- 1 cup rose water
- 2 cups of coconut sugar
- 4 cups chickpea flour (gram flour)
- 2 drops of spearmint essential oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup Coconut cream
Instructions
Add the carob powder into the rose water and mix thoroughly, then add the coconut sugar, and mix well until the sugar has completely dissolved and set aside.
In a separate pan, lightly roast the chickpea flour over low heat, stirring continuously, so the flour does not burn at the bottom.
Gradually add the carob powder-rose water mixture and the drops of spearmint oil to the flour while stirring.
The flour will absorb the water, turn into a chocolatey paste, and form a soft lump. No worries, keep stirring until the flour is cooked well. Take it off the heat, spread it on a tray, and let it cool.
To form the balls, rub coconut oil between your palms and then take a teaspoonful of the mixture at a time and roll it into balls about 1.5 cm in diameter between your palms.
Spread the desiccated coconut and coconut sugar on a plate. Roll the balls in this mixture to form a coating.
This will make a coat around the balls and arrange them on a plate to serve
Make this easy dessert a healthy sweet snack for your family. It will keep in the refrigerator for weeks unless there are stealing hands!
